I graduated from Whiteville High School (N.C) in 1995. I then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1995 to 1999. I graduated with a BA in History with Honors and a BA in Economics. While at Chapel Hill, I was a member of the Men’s Rowing team (two years), UNC Marching Tar Heels (four years) and was a staff writer for the Daily Tar Heel (one year). Afterward, I attended North Carolina Central University Law School from 1999 to 2002. While at NCCU, I was a member of the NCCU Law Journal.
Experience
While at NCCU, I worked for the N.C. General Assembly as a research assistant (2001-2002). After I got my Juris Doctorate from NCCU in 2002, I worked as a lawyer in Hendersonville for the Law Office of Frank Jackson. I held this position until 2022 when I started my own law firm.
